1. Application
Complete an application form for short-term placement. (YES, GO!). If you do not hear back from us within two weeks, please contact us to ensure that we have received your application. Applicants preparing for a YES or GO! assignment for longer than two months are required to form a Care Team. You will receive information about forming a Care Team after you return a completed application to EMM.

2. Getting acquainted
Upon receiving your application form, we will email your reference forms. Please alert your references that they will be receiving an emailed form to complete and return within 2 weeks (unless we request they return it sooner). Once we receive your references, we will then contact you and arrange for an interview. If distance is a factor, we may arrange a phone interview. We may also contact your pastor by phone as part of the discerning process.

3. Approval for service
The Human Resources Associate Director will share your information with the Discipleship Ministries Training Director and they will decide together on your approval for short-term missions.

4. Official invitation
We will extend an invitation upon approval, hopefully within two weeks of the interview. (Due to travel schedules, we may not always be able to meet this goal.) Upon acceptance of the invitation, you will receive an approval packet via e-mail. For YES applicants: Closer to the beginning of training, you will receive an email with the outreach descriptions along with a form allowing you to indicate your first, second and possible third choice of preference for location. You will need to complete and return this form within several days, You will then be notified within two weeks of your team assignment.

5. Preparing to go
You will receive a packet of information from the Harrisburg Discipleship Center with information about your team, orientation & commissioning, as well as other important details.
