Latin America is a land of varied cultures. It is an American “melting pot” of Spanish, Indian, and other European cultures. EMM has been a presence in the area since the 1950s and currently workers are serving in Belize, Costa Rica, Chile, Guatemala, Honduras, and Peru. Short-term teams have served in other countries as well. Local leaders are being trained and developed; they are doing the work of the church.

Churches in many places are ready to send workers out, and in some cases are already sending men and women as missionaries to both other parts of Latin America and to other parts of the world. Today’s Latin society is mostly Catholic, yet there is a tremendous need for the truth of the gospel of Jesus to be shared with 21st century Latin Americans.

EMM partners with:
Belize - *Belize Evangelical Mennonite Church
Dominican Republic - *Mennonite Council of the Dominican Republic
El Salvador - El Salvador Mennonite Church
Guatemala - *K’ekchi’ Mennonite Church
Guatemala- *Spanish Mennonite Church
Honduras - *Amor Viviente
Honduras - *Honduran Mennonite Church
Honduras - International Christian Center
Peru - *Peruvian Evangelical Mennonite Church
Venezuela - *Venezuela Mennonite Church
* EMM was involved in the formation of these churches.

EMM has significant ministry connections with:
Honduras – Los Pinares School
Honduras – Mission Training Center
