EMM began its work in the U.S. in 1897 when society was much different with its own unique challenges and issues. Now, economic hardships, materialism, and societal problems have contributed to a sense of despair and hopelessness for many. EMM has been involved in church planting initiatives for many years in small urban communities where the church is weak and non-existent. Our passion is to continue reaching out to where the church is not... yet.

We anticipate planting new churches in various parts of the United States and Canada. We have begun connecting and partnering with networks who share a common ground so we can work together in appointing workers to areas like Canada, Texas, and Florida. We are sending out a couple to Mississippi to work with the Choctaw Indigenous people group.

Significant ministry connections:
Spanish Mennonite Council (LMC-EMM partnership)

Partnering conferences/churches:
Lancaster Mennonite Conference
Atlantic Coast Conference
Christian Fellowship Ministries
Cornerstone Church and Ministries International
Franklin Conference
