Sharing the Vision (30 minutes)
Glenn Kauffman, EMM’s Global Ministries’ Department director, shares stories from missionaries serving on several continents. These accounts demonstrate God’s heart for the nations and the miraculous ways he is at work through the lives of his children. Glenn also casts a vision for the future ministry of EMM and the missionaries serving with us.

Raising Finances (64 minutes)
Led by Kaylene Derksen, Assoc. Director of Development
It’s not uncommon to feel intimidated by the support raising process. Going into this activity with some strong tools and the right attitude can make all the difference. If you are helping to raise support for a missionary’s first-time assignment or for a second, third, or fourth term, this workshop is for you!

Providing Spiritual and Emotional Care (50 minutes)
Led by Marilyn Peters, MST Coach
If the MST represents the spiritual community of the missionary, how does this team provide care and support from a distance? What are the issues and challenges that a missionary faces and how might God use the MST to be his hands and voice to provide comfort, encouragement, and excitement?

Caring for Kids Long-distance (60 minutes)
Led by Jeanette Hunt, Third Culture Kid Coordinator
It’s not just the parents who serve in a mission assignment – the children play a vital role as well!  Letting them know they are loved and cared for brings joy to their hearts as well as to their parents. But how do you do this from a distance?  Jeanette shares ideas and resources from her role in EMM’s Human Resource Department as well as from personal experience.

The Re-entry Transition (66 minutes)
Led by Sherrie Ober, Human Resource Dept.
Transitioning back to the States can cause as much culture shock as adjustment to the mission location did. The MST/CT can help the missionary walk through this process in a healthy way.  If you are welcoming your missionary back to the States at the end of the term, this workshop will help you feel equipped for this role!
