1 (Wed.) Harrisburg, Pa.
Lift up the fall YES team leaders. Pray that God would equip these leaders with more of his servant's heart, and pray for the teams they will be leading.

2 (Thurs.) Peru
Lift up in prayer Derick and Jen Brubaker and their daughters as they continue their service in Cusco. Pray for refreshment and renewed joy as they step into the lives of so many hurt people. In the midst of so much pain and darkness, pray that people would see hope through them.

3 (Fri.) Lancaster, Pa.
Lift up David Eshleman and his wife Helen as they serve the congregations of the Lancaster Mennonite Conference. Pray for Helen and her continued health concerns; ask God to bring complete healing. Lift up Dave as he continues his involvement as a church consultant. Dave has written a book, Now Go Forward: Reaching Out to Grow Your Congregation. Pray that Dave will have clarity of vision for what his next steps will be.

4 (Sat.) Central Asia
Pray for a GO! participant serving in Central Asia and home schooling the children of long-term EMM workers. Pray for her as she adjusts to the culture of this new land and becomes the newest member of the family. Also pray that she would connect well with the children, and learn how to teach them effectively.

5 (Sun.) Kenya
Pray for Nate and Jill in Kenya as they experience transitions and new responsibilities. Pray that they would find ways to stay connected even when they are traveling separately. Pray for Rosslyn Academy (where Jill teaches) as they continue to search for new school leadership, and as Jill and others begin new duties as lead teachers at various levels. Praise God for the new opportunities Nate and Jill have, and also pray for wisdom in discerning their future.

6 (Mon) Salunga, Pa.
Praise the Lord for his financial provisions for Discipleship Ministries this past year. Pray for a continued release of finances as they also seek to be wise stewards of the resources given. This month is the time when the budget is set and finalized for the year ahead; much prayer is appreciated.

7 (Tues.) East Asia
Pray for a family in East Asia who had to relocate during a pregnancy. Pray for the safe arrival of their child, and that all the necessary visas and permits needed will come through. This family has been involved with a particular people group for the past 11 years. Pray also for three new persons who are considering joining them. The team is considering starting a branch location in a neighboring country; pray for clear direction about where to locate this branch ministry.

8 (Wed.) Harrisburg, Pa.
Pray for Jon Landis, former YES Venezuela team leader, who is serving as the Worship Coordinator and mentoring some of the male YES participants at the Harrisburg Discipleship Center. Pray for more of God's wisdom and heart for Jon this year.

9 (Thurs.) Belize
Lift up Nancy Marshall, a woman filled with the love of Jesus, who is ministering into the lives of those with hearing impediments. She felt called to start this type of ministry and God has multiplied her efforts. A church has been established and has continued to multiply. Pray for fresh anointing upon her. Pray for safety, a fresh new vision, and future steps.

10 (Fri.) Salunga, Pa.
Pray for the many persons inquiring about long-term opportunities to serve with EMM. Pray that our interactions with them would mobilize them to move forward in God's mission.  

11 (Sat.) East Asia
Pray for a family in East Asia as they host and coordinate a two-week training for local missionaries this month. Pray that there will be a Spirit-energized combination of zeal and knowledge for the young trainees, and that God will protect the training from harassment. Also pray as they are mentoring young leaders who are beginning or pastoring churches in the local setting. Pray that their efforts will be multiplied many times over through the young pastors they are training.

12 (Sun.) Lancaster, Pa.
Pray for the the orientation and commissioning of short-term workers on September 12. Pray that God would order the day and prepare participants, families, friends, and care team members. Nelson Okanya, associate pastor of Capital Christian Fellowship (MD) and former YES alumus and DM staff member, will be the commissioning speaker. The service will happen at 7 p.m. at Mount Joy Mennonite Church.

13 (Mon.) Germany
Pray for Darrel and Miriam Weaver who serve in Halle, Germany, with their two young daughters. Pray with them for spiritual protection in the midst of a spiritually intense battle for the city of Halle. Praise the Lord that God is bigger! Pray for their youngest daughter, Clara, for wholeness and health especially in her ears and hearing.

14 (Tues.) Thailand
Mark and Sarah Schoenhals, serving in Thailand, ask for prayer that they may have motivation and increasing capacity for language learning; for health and safety -- especially for their daughter Heidi as she grows and explores; and that they would build more and deeper relationships with Thai people while they're in Bangkok through November.

15 (Wed.) Guinea-Bissau
Praise God for the school project that has begun in Guinea-Bissau. Pray that the community would work diligently to complete the project, and pray that God would bless the children who attend. Ask God to strengthen the faith of young believers in Guinea-Bissau and raise up humble, passionate leaders. Pray for safety and openness for Andrew Stutzman as he embarks on an educational trip to Burkina Faso, September 20-24, to attend an ECHO agricultural development networking conference.

16 (Thurs.) Asia
Pray for the Asia YES team as they begin their ministry and have further discipleship training. Pray for their cultural and language adaptation, and for much favor as they get settled.

17 (Fri.) Puerto Rico
Lift up Harry and Linda Nussbaum who were called to serve the people of Aibonito, Puerto Rico. Harry and Linda have become the hands and feet of Jesus and people are asking questions about them and their ministry. Pray as they discern future steps in how they will use the building they have been restoring. Pray that they would receive a clear word from God about what he would have them do next.

18 (Sat.) Harrisburg, Pa.
Pray for Krista Breneman, former Asia YES team member, as she is serving as the new office assistant at the Harrisburg Discipleship Center. Pray for her as she learns the systems, schedule, and logistics of her job and HDC. Praise the Lord for her organizational giftings and pray that they would grow and be a blessing in this place.

19 (Sun.) Texas
Lift up Marty and Glenna Sollenberger as they continue their service with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Texas. Pray as they meet people in their community that their light would shine regardless of their circumstances. Pray their community and neighbors would be drawn to God through their faith and efforts.

20 (Mon.) Central Asia
Pray for a family serving in Central Asia as they will have a renewed focus on evangelism and faith sharing in the next six months. Pray for first fruits and first believers in the Muslim community where they live. Pray also for the two new workers, that they would adjust well to learning the language and culture and that they will build strong relationships. Pray for a young couple planning to join them to help with a computer programming business.

21 (Tues.) Harrisburg, Pa.
The fall YES training has begun. Lift up the Asia, Chile, Himalayas, and Albania YES teams. Pray that the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord would be anointing, teaching, and transforming them to be his witnesses now and in their outreach locations.

22 (Wed.) Tanzania
During the last several months, the Mennonite church in Tanzania has been holding elections of church officials in local congregations and at the Diocese and national levels. Pray for these newly elected leaders as they begin their work this month. Ask God to help the new leaders work together as a team as they lead the church for the next three years.

23 (Thurs.) The Netherlands
Pray for Bob and Miriam Phillips serving in the Netherlands. Pray for the Lord's grace and anointing on their ministries of evangelism, teaching, and mentoring.

24 (Fri.) Mission Interns
Be lifting up the new mission interns: Joe and Jen Horst in Bulgaria; Mary Dunn in Peru; and two young women, one in the Middle East and the other in Central Asia. Pray for them as they adjust culturally, emotionally, and spiritually to their new homes while starting their ministries.

25 (Sat.) U.S./Cambodia
Debbie and John Coats, on home leave, ask for continued healing and rest through a prolonged home leave. They anticipate returning to Cambodia in early 2011.

26 (Sun.) U.S./Middle East
Pray for a young woman serving in the Middle East who is currently on home leave. Pray for a good and encouraging time of renewing relationships with friends, family, and supporters and for wisdom for future decisions.

27 (Mon.) Winter YES
Pray that more young people would apply to join one of the three YES teams training this winter. Teams will serve in Honduras, the Middle East, and Kenya.

28 (Tues.) Albania
Pray for Leon and Naomi Zimmerman who serve in Albania. Pray that during this last year of their term they will especially be focused on establishing on-going leadership for the church in Lezhe. Pray their family will have a blessed year and encouraging ministry.

29 (Wed.) Chile
Lift up Mike and Nancy Hostetter and their children as they continue to serve in Chile. Pray they will be the hands and feet of Jesus in their community. Pray for the Lord's leading in their lives as more and more people come to know Jesus.

30 (Thurs.) Central Asia
Pray for a family serving in Central Asia. Pray for their oldest son, who will begin attending a local preschool, for the Lord's blessing and protection over him. Pray he would quickly learn to communicate with his friends and teachers. Pray for this couple, who will take a break from formal language study, that their hearts would remain focused on continuing to learn the language and for ongoing opportunities to practice.
